Very inspiring Review by Tom
Review
Hugely enjoyable just as a book, not something you can say about most instruction manuals! Also relatively easy to follow as a guide and very inspiring. (Posted on 08/11/2012)
Excellent little book Review by Sean

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, which at times has laugh out loud moments and is full of very interesting and useful knowledge. If you yearn for a simple and ecological lifestyle then this book will have pride of place on your book shelf.

An excellent read Review by Earthpeace.com
Review
This excellent book takes us (with illustrations and plans) through the process he went through to build his roundhouse and the subsequent battles he’s had with the local authority planners - who seem hell-bent on tearing his house down for bureaucratic reasons.

Tony Wrench’s style of writing is humorous and the point. Review by James Brimer, Mid Wales Permaculture Network
Review
He describes the building of the roundhouse in a casual manner and presents the project with an ease that allows the reader to access the information easily without the need to know any architectural jargon. (Posted on 08/11/2012)

Highly recommended. Review by Michael Guerra
Review
This book is a description of the fascinating process that would lead through the design of the structure, the detailing, the construction and the fitting out. It is not a technical treatise in any sense, though the basic sketches could be used to build a similar structure. There are many good photos to back up the text, and they give a better sense of scale than the line illustrations. The book is well written with a good deal of wit and logical explanation, by a permie who is obviously in tune with living sustainably and willing to eschew much of the baggage we take for granted, but is still able to live simply and luxuriously. Highly recommended. (Posted on 01/07/2010)
