Heinberg addresses many of the cultural, psychological and practical changes we will need to make as nature rapidly dictates our new limits. A combination of wry commentary and sober forecasting on subjects as diverse as farming, energy and industrial design, Peak Everything indicates how we might make the transition from the Age of Excess to the Era of Modesty with grace and satisfaction, while preserving the best of our collective achievements.

- The subjects covered are diverse Review by Patrick Whitefield, author of the Earth Care Manual, review in Permaculture magazine
-
The subjects covered are diverse, including farming, aesthetics, population, defining sustainability, differences between peak oil and climate change activists, the psychology of peak everything, and more. The psychology essay was perhaps the most important of all. “Those with psychological training may play as important a role... as energy experts and permaculturists.” This may in fact be an understatement. The crux of our present predicament is that while the technological solutions are well known, the big problem is finding the motivation to get on and put them into action. The psychological problem is far bigger than the technical one.Review
