- an inspirational guide to building in mud-brick or adobe structures Review by Michael Guerra, review in Permaculture magazine
-
This book (first published in 1986) is an inspirational guide to building in mud-brick or adobe structures, writted by someone who had an emotional rebirth into natural building after years of practicing 'normal' architecture in California and Iran. A technique that is older than the Pyramids, it is enjoying a renaissance with the increased interest in natural building. Ceramic Houses gives the reader an in-depth analysis of what makes earth -building work, how to approach it structurally and practically, and how to execute the design. While not truly relevant to our cool wet climate, this book is a good guide to any mass building method. Recommended. (Posted on 12/07/2010)Review
