- It is a book I would recommend and one I will no doubt use throughout my life. Review by Ben Law, review in Permaculture magazine

Despite the slightly misleading title ('Encyclopedia'), this is a very useful book on green woodworking and associated coppice crafts. In particular, the wide range of line drawings of jigs and coppice devices expands and improves on the old photographs in Lamberts' 'Tools and Devices for Coppice Crafts'.Review
It is a book I would recommend and one I will no doubt use throughout my life. If it is found to be lacking, it is on the subject of the more modern and less traditional products that are evolving in this new era of woodsmanship that draws on the old traditions and weaves in the new.
