I really enjoyed this DVD as it is full of emotionally intelligent solutions that have been implemented for many years. What shines through is how change can happen through focusing on win/win/win solutions for people, planet and communities. Focusing on bringing rewards and benefits, by using the "carrot" approach rather than the "stick"! I loved the example of the workforce at the recycling centre being rewarded to rest, exercise and educate!! Watch and be inspired! (Posted on 30/12/2010)

Curitiba is a city in southern Brazil with two million inhabitants. 40 years ago it had many problems: traffic congestion, mass immigration, poverty, slums, annual flooding, pollution, waste dumps...and a few municipal resources to solve them. But it had two big assets: political will and imagination. The film is the story of how Cubitiba transformed itself into an economically healthy and beautiful city and this story is nothing less than inspirational. The designs behind all the schemes demonstrate originality, integrated thinking and passionate commitment to the people.
