In Carving Swedish Wooden Ware, Swedish woodworker Jogge Sundqvist shows us how to make a dough bowl and a spoon using only simple hand tools. He demonstrates the use of an axe, knife, adze, gouge, drawknife, spoke shave and plane to rough out and finish the items. Presented in a step by step form, the lessons are very easy to remember and follow (though it may take a bit of practice to get quite as skillful with an axe). He presents the whole process for each item from choosing the wood and visualizing the object in it to finishing the object ready for use. Originally released on VHS in 1990, this is a really useful and informative DVD despite the picture quality showing its age.
