This book fills a longstanding gap in knowledge about the application of ecological principles to aquaculture. At a time when ecological production management systems are becoming more attractive to consumers, such as organic farming, Mr. Hutchinson shows how it can happen for aquaculture, too.

This book is a unique insight into the ecological design of all freshwater systems whether for aquaculture or pure pleasure. Using this book will enable anyone to design a self-supporting ecosystem in a pond or freshwater stream. If your designs require the use of water then I would recommend this book.
