Tool / Product Review

Review taken from Permaculture Magazine No38

It’s Not All Cuckoo Clocks
Switzerland may be famous for banking and clock making but it is also home to some of the worlds finest tool makers and Felco is certainly one of these.

Pruning and hedgelaying being a feature of this time of year, I got hold of a pair of Professional Secateurs and a Pruning Saw from Felco. The secateurs are designed for extended use, one of the handles rotates as you cut which greatly reduces the strain on the hand and wrist. I found their claim of a 25mm (1in) cut slightly ambitious, but other than that they are fantastic and should last a lifetime. The saw comes with a belt attached hard sheath, which is really useful when working in trees or from a ladder. The ease and quality of the cuts achieved with this saw are just astounding. If you have a lot of trees to prune, I can highly recommend both of these Felco products.
