- This is definitely a hands-on 'permie' book Review by Michael Guerra, review in Permaculture magazine
-
This is definitely a hands-on 'permie' book. Aimed at those who wish to have a go, everything in this book is directed to the reader getting his or her hands dirty. This is not a technical treatise, and it openly admits to the problems involved in getting planning permission for cob structures. This is not due to any innate problems with cob, but with its non-uniformity, or lack of easy testing by the authorities concerned. All this, and much more, is covered in this excellent book. The only minor criticism is the lack of photographs, though the line illustrations are adequate. Highly recommended. (Posted on 08/07/2010)Review
