This is a deceptively clever piece of kit doesn’t look capable of sharpening anything big like an axe but actually not only does it do so, it does so with ease. Safer, quicker and easier to use than a file, the tool sharpener will put an edge on both single and double edged tools.

Last weekend I scythed my Spring meadow. I have a German scythe that I am not that found of (I really want the Austrian scythe we sell!) and it was blunt which makes a hard job exhausting. With such a large blade sharpening it is quite a task.Review
This axe and tool sharpener has two options - a double sided sharpener for axes and a single sided sharpener for blades. I held the scythe carefully and Tim drew the tool sharpener's single sided sharpening option across the blunt edge a few times. It produced a good angled edge in a few draws and I went on to finish the meadow with much greater ease. Recommended. (Posted on 01/09/2011)
